Kerstin Brätsch is a contemporary artist known for combining materials such as Mylar, glass, and photocopies into her works. Brätsch creates colorful, often large-scale compositions that defy conventional methods of display, by leaning on the wall or suspending them from the ceiling. Drawing from pop culture as much as art history, her paintings are playful and often deliberately chaotic. She expands her practice through her collaboration with other artists as part of the collective DAS INSTITUT.
